Happy Wednesday, ladies! Our journey is nearing its end which is so sad, but it’s time to get back to the day to day. Speaking of day to day, I pretty much check Amazon every day. If I’m not ordering something, I’m looking it up and adding it to my list. I’m a notorious Amazon list maker, and every now and then I’ll treat myself to a want when I pick up a need. So today I wanted to round up all my recent Amazon purchases – all the needs and some wants I picked up with them. I feel like some of these items are a bit boring, but the boring items are the ones that take the most research so maybe this will help you, too!

CHECKERED DOOR MAT
This door mat had been on my wish list for so dang long and I finally bit the bullet and picked it up recently. Actually, I finally used a gift card my mom had given me for Chris and my anniversary. I’m 100% obsessed with it, it’s one of my favorite Amazon purchases. And I smile every time I see it. I actually went to the dollar store a couple days later because I wanted to make a new wreath to match. I think I’m going to put a DIY video on the Vlog channel soon!
PODCAST MICROPHONE
Also thanks to that gift card, Chris and I got these podcast microphones so we could start our own. Well, his own rather. I’m just a supporting cast member, but I think it’s going to be really fun. You can check that out here.
OVER THE DOOR STORAGE
This was a pretty simple idea I actually picked up watching old Casey Holmes vlogs. I don’t know why it didn’t cross my mind – I guess because that horrid plastic can be really off-putting. But our pantry is just a complete disaster and so challenging to organize so I needed another solution.
UNDERBED STORAGE
I picked these up to help deal with my obnoxious volume of clothes (seriously guys, I need help breaking the emotional bonds). They’re not the highest quality things, but they work for my purpose. I think if you’re trying to store something you won’t be accessing often, these are great. If you plan on using them, pulling them out from under the bed often, they’ll probably fall apart pretty quick.
PEARL HEADBANDS
Alright, this was another influenced purchase. I’m not sure I can pull these off with my hair so short, but I’m going to make an attempt. Luckily my hair grows stupid fast anyway. AnyWHO, Emily Ann Gemma showed these $1 headbands on her stories and they’re not exactly $1. It’s more like $3 after shipping, but that’s still a great price so I decided to try them out.
DECORATIVE LEAVES & FLOWERS
This amazon purchase is not meant to be for home decor. Let me stop you before you get excited. The quality of these is not phenomenal, but it’s perfect for my purpose – flat lays. You should be seeing them a lot more on the blog and on Instagram. Actually, I’m really coming to like them so I might order another stack for wedding decorations.
SURGE PROTECTOR
DON’T IGNORE THIS PURCHASE!! Okay, I know this seems super boring, but I have to let you know what a life saver this is for small spaces. In our guest room, we can’t really change up the way the furniture is laid out without making it feel even more cramped. But the dresser serving as a tv stand is right in front of the outlet – which meant the plug pushed it forward almost two inches unnecessarily. The flat plug on this surge protector gave us two extra inches of much needed space!
SHOE RACK
You should see this in an upcoming video on my Vlog channel. I’m working on a lot of organization projects around the house this summer and filming them for motivational purposes. I dunno, I love watching organization videos while organizing so I figured I could help out those who agree. Anyway, I wasn’t looking for anything pretty here – just functional – to organize Chris’s closet.
PEARL BARRETTES
So I actually purchased this twice, which is why I can’t recommend this product to you. Or at least not without fair warning. The first purchase I loved, the quality was there and they were just like the picture. I decided to order a second set. The quality was still pretty good, but they no longer matched the picture. The packaging went from well put together, to practically non-existent.
