Happy Fri-YAY! Usually, I try to name these posts about a theme from the week or something that’s coming up. But I was kind of stuck today. But, when I thought about it, really what has been on my mind is finding balance. There’s a lot of things I love doing, and I want to do and experience them all. But I find that I fall into one and neglect another until it makes me sad. This week, I’ve really been thinking about what is important to me and how I can keep those things present in my life. Surprise, surprise, moderation has been the thing I keep going back to. But I’ve also been thinking in terms of seasons. Sometimes, one hobby or passion needs a season, a period of more focus, and then it can drop back a pinch to let other loves shine, too. Ultimately, I think that’s the key. That’s why we want to measure our goals in the framework of time periods. What do you think?

This week I loved…
- I picked up these leather joggers to complete my collection of neutral colors (white, black, and now brown), and I’m actually obsessed. On the inside they are so soft and feel like comfy sweatpants. It’s starting to get maybe a little warm, but I cannot wait to wear them next winter.
- I’ve re-fallen in love with cream bronzers lately. Usually, I wear them layered until a powder bronzer as well. I think the two provide a nice amount of depth and longevity that keeps my makeup nice all day. Even when I’m sitting with my face in my palm, which I admit is not the smartest. The tarte SEA Breezy Cream Bronzer is my current everyday fave!
- My favorite way to do my hair lately has been in boxer braids. I changed my hair wash day to Thursday so I could braids in right away, then have pretty waves all weekend. Since I braid my hair wet, I like to have something to keep the strands slick so they slide and don’t tear. I also like a leave-in conditioner for moisture. To serve both purposes, I have been loving the Ouai Leave In Conditioner!
