FRIDAY FAVORITES: COMMON SENSE EDITION

Happy Fri-YAY, ladies! The Common Sense Factor went live this week and I’m still giddy, but more on that below. This week has been rather intense, I’m trying to get a bunch of work done and I’ve had to make some really thoughtful decisions which have taken a lot of brain space. I’m nervous now about the rest of the year, but still excited. Anyway, let’s get right into the good good from the week…

This week I loved…

  • I got these leggings from Walmart recently, and y’all, they are amazing. They’re so thick, they pass the squat test, I’m utterly obsessed. I think I’ve worn them like 3-4 times this week already on my walks with the dog!
  • I’m trying to get pack into having a regular planning system that is both beautiful and functional. My current favorite planner is the Peony Planner because it’s so aesthetically pleasing and fully customizable. I’ve designed my own weekly inserts to help me stay on track. AND they have a two for one deal on the Peony Planner right now – I just ordered two more!
  • If you’re a facial spray lover or a lover of Fresh’s rose line (or rose in general) and you haven’t tried the Mario Badescu Rose Facial spray, you’re missing out. It’s been out for awhile and I’m sure I’ve talked about it before, but I just want to make sure it gets another mention because it’s that good!

In case you missed it…

Check this out…

  • Last week I hinted about our new Podcast, The Common Sense Factor, and we officially launched it! As I’m writing this on Thursday, it’s only available on Anchor and Spotify and may take up to a week (I’m told) for iTunes and other podcast platforms. Regardless, there’s something to listen to now so check it out right here. We’ve got our next episode planned as well, but will probably wait to post it until iTunes approves us.
  • How gorgeous is this peachy abode? These photos are a serious vibe that I can’t get enough of. My own personal style tends to be a little more layered, cluttered even, but I can really appreciate a minimalist approach!
  • If you haven’t checked out the blog Temptalia yet – you really need to. Her reviews are so good – but her dupe gallery is what makes me come back almost daily. She’s reviewed such an extensive amount of products and it makes me not feel bad about using limited edition items (or following tutorials with them) because I can always find a dupe!

Shop this weekend…

  • Macy’s Father’s Day sale runs through Sunday where you can get up to 25% off with code DAD.
  • Get 30% off full-priced items and 50% off “getaway must-haves” at J. Crew with code GETAWAY.
  • Take an extra 30% almost everything at Lord & Taylor with code FRIENDS now through 6/17.
  • Get up to 75% off plus an extra 10% off orders over $150 now through 6/17 at Kate Spade with code EXTRAEXTRA.
  • I’m gonna do a little self promo here and promote my Posh closet. We’re working on getting it back to active and I’m desperately trying to be okay with parting with my clothes. Check out my closet here.
  • Always shop with Ebates (not sponsored, but this is a referral link which you can get too if you’re a part). I’ve saved almost $400 since using it, and I know I’ve missed out on quite a bit from not taking advantage of the in-store features as well. I’m working on getting better because it’s seriously so fundamental.
If you follow any interior design blogs religiously, leave them in the comments below! I’m really seeking out new designers to follow! Also – don’t forget to check out The Common Sense Factor!
