CUSTOM SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER GIVEAWAY WITH FORMULATE

Happy Wednesday, ladies!  Today, I’m super excited to share something I’ve been testing and trying for awhile now – and anticipating even longer. I had the opportunity to work with Formulate, a custom shampoo and conditioner brand, for their launch. I was initially pretty excited to work with Formulate because I’ve got a weird love for formulas (I’m a math girl, and I have a series called Formulaic Fashion). And now that I’ve tried it, I love the product so much more! Given that this is a truly custom formula, you (yes, you reading this) might not love the products sitting in my shower, but I think you’ll love the brand as much as I do – and here’s why:

This post may contain affiliate links. I received this product for free in exchange for a post if I liked it and I do!

TOP IS OLD (HERE’S A CUTE SIMILAR OPTION)

FORMULATE CUSTOM SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER

Here’s the deal – my hair is fickle. If you didn’t know that, you do now. It’s either so dry and breaking and brittle, or it’s way too greasy and I have to wash it daily. That’s why a custom formula sounded so nice. Well, for me, it wasn’t a one and done thing. I actually didn’t love my first formula, and my second was a lot closer, but not quite there for my new length (that one’s on me for chopping it off with almost no forethought, though). So Formulate re-formulated my formula (say that three times fast) with no issues and now my hair is exactly where I want it.

But that’s my custom formula so I don’t want to go too much into that (except to say they are SO flexible and want to make a product that works for you). Instead, I want to talk about what makes Formulate so special for everyone. First of all, it’s preservative, sulfate, paraben and cruelty free. So that’s a huge win. But what I kinda love even more is that I can actually see and learn about all the ingredients in my formula so I actually know what I’m putting on my body.

For example, there’s something called “Propoxytetramethyl Piperidinyl Dimethicone” in my conditioner. I could try to type that in, try not to mess it up, and try to get an answer OR on my profile, I can just click the ingredient to learn that its primary benefit is to add volume (need), softness (need), and shine (love). Something called “C11-15 Pareth-7” is also in my formula, and a quick click tells me it’s just a companion ingredient that keeps formulas from separating. So. Freaking. Cool. It makes diving in and understanding the products I’m using SO much easier.

Seriously, check out the “Praise” section of the Formulate site to read more quick and fab reviews from people with ALL KINDS of hair types (from my kind of fickle and fine, to oily, to dry, and so much more).

GET YO’ OWN FORMULA

The best way to share how much I love this brand is to give you the opportunity to try it. SO Formulate is kindly hosting a giveaway for one lucky big winner which you can enter here. The big winner receives their own custom shampoo and conditioner formulation – free. BUT ALSO, everyone who enters gets a $5 coupon code. A full set is $49, so the $5 code makes a good difference and it’s more affordable than the salon hair care I think a lot of us pick up at Sephora and Ulta. So it’s a win or a big win. Whoop whoop!

The giveaway ends on June 1st so make sure to enter! All you need is your name and email for Formulate to contact you. You can also put in your IG handle – but that is OPTIONAL! I know some of you are not on IG, so I don’t want it to be a hurdle for you, just skip the question!

Have you heard of Formulate? How excited would you be to try out your own custom shampoo and conditioner formula?

Customised hair care seems to be big right now. Though, this brand has to be the most aesthetically pleasing one I’ve seen so far!

I noticed that, too! But I agree – and I think they do a great job on their product!
