Happy Monday, ladies! On Monday, I’m either completely motivated and ready to tackle the week, or I’m totally discombobulated and under-caffinated. Today I’m the latter. Do you ever have those days? Anyway, in today’s blog post I want to share a few tips for staying a trend with you. Pearls are back in style, but not hanging around your neck. No, this time we want them sewn to all of our clothes! I adore this trend. It’s a great way to add a fun pop to your dinner look, or to just dress up and have some fun with your casual wear. I’m sharing a few tips for styling both outfits, and sharing a few of my favorite pearl pieces below!

DRESS UP YOUR PEARLS

When dressing up embellished pearls, keep your look simple. This pretty black dress (under $15!) has enough going on for it. I wanted to keep the look classy, so I paired it with a classy marble clutch and white pumps. For one of the skirts I shared below, opt for simple pumps or sandals and a lacy camisole. You could also dress down a tulle skirt with a graphic tee, if you’re looking for more versatility.

While there are plenty of ways to go bold, your statement piece will lose its statement factor if you over-style. So keep your look simple and let the pearls steal the show.

DRESS DOWN YOUR PEARLS

I love dressing up pearls, but I have to say, I think the casual trend is my favorite. I love a look that’s a little more dressed up, but feels just as comfy as my casual wear (I even wrote a post about that!). So a pearl embellished sweatshirt? Sign me up! When styling this trend, consider the piece a part of your daily wardrobe. Again, you want to keep it simple, so don’t over-accessorize. But a pearl embellished tee is just a t-shirt, so pair it with your favorite denim and a cute pair of flats. Top the look with a denim jacket and you’re golden. Match your sweatshirt with a simple pair of denim, and some metallic sneakers and you’ll feel super comfy, but look ultra chic.

You do want to pair your pieces with more put-together options. While joggers might look cute, yoga pants looks a little more like you’re just tossing things together.
