Happy Wednesday! It’s officially my favorite weekday and it’s a busy one! Errands to run and classes to go to. It gets crazy. I love an outfit like this because it’s put together and professional without being stuffy. It’s also ridiculously comfortable, both to sit in uncomfortable class desks and when running around between classes. A great way to create a put-together look inexpensively and comfortably is to start with a simple, neutral dress, then pick accessories in a single contrasting color, add a bold lip and tucked under braid or bun and you’re done! An outfit like this is the ultimate no brainer, and it’s one of my go to fashion formulas, no matter the season. You can visit my other fashion formulas here! Use #FormulaicFashion on Instagram or Twitter to show me your take! I’d love to see them!

Love this look!
Thanks, Anna! 🙂
I am looking for a gray swing sleeveless dress like this and when I do find it, you have inspired me to try it with emerald. Love all the green accessories here and your gorgeous braid. You totally dressed up this little swing dress Ashleigh and you look fantastic. I agree about your dressing formula, too. =)
This week’s current, brand-new linkup is live (a day early). I would love for you to join it. Thank you. Ada. =)

Thanks, Ada! I'm so, so glad to have inspired you! I'm a sucker for green, but I think a simple grey dress would look great with any favorite color for a similar, fun look!
I love this formula!!! I will try it next time for a put together look. That gray dress is perfect for wearing so many ways! Love the braid 🙂
