TRENDSPOTTING: A PLAID PERSPECTIVE

We all remember that line in The Devil Wears Prada: “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” There are certain colors, patterns and textures that stick around every season. The equivalent of spring florals is plaid for fall. Maybe it’s just the uniform inspired look mixing with the new school year, but whatever the reason, it keeps coming back. Rather than becoming old, however, designers are always finding new ways to refresh the look each season.

I finished this post up last night, but when I checked my email this morning I noticed that Anthropologie had new fall arrivals. Excited, because I love Anthropologie, I had to check it out right then, and guess what I found.. more plaid! I fell madly in love with the dress and the skirt, so I just had to include them in this post. I’d be happy to have any of these hidden in my closet, especially that lace trim blouse!
