Happy Wednesday ladies! I’m super excited because tomorrow is a day off for me and we’re going to spend it running some errands and working on some exciting projects. It’s also officially the start of my last week of undergrad, because next Wednesday is my last class! (Although I do have a few papers due at the end of the week.) Anyway, today I’m sharing a review of another product from a skincare brand I’m quickly falling in love with!
Recently, I had the opportunity to try a new mask from Valentia. If you’ve been following the blog for awhile, you may remember that I reviewed the Valentia True Glow Eye Cream and Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask back in April. The mask was a bit of a strange texture for me personally, but the eye cream has become one of my daily essentials.
This time, I was sent the Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask and was so excited to try it because my skin can get a little dull and gross from acne and makeup. The first time I tried it, I tried it only on my face and I had to take it off right away. A year ago, I could use anything on my skin and have zero reaction to it, but I started using the Clarisonic in May and since then my skin has been a little more sensitive.
If you think about it, though, that’s not surprising since both the Clarisonic and Valentia mask are designed to do something similar – clear off the stuff that doesn’t come off with a regular wash. So with that in mind, I decided to try something else. I knew I didn’t need double clarifying on my face, but I always struggled with acne and clogged pores on my chest, shoulders, and arms, both from oily skin and from lotions.
So, after I took a shower I tried the Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask on my chest, shoulders, and arms – anywhere I was seeing a break out. It didn’t burn so I left it on until it dried, and I totally loved the result! It did for my body what the Clarisonic has done for my face and I’m so happy for it because I’ve been struggling with those areas for years and years!
As a face mask, my skin just can’t handle this one, but when used as a body mask – I’m obsessed! P.S. It smells amazing!
