TBT: BLOGGER LOOKS OF 2009
For this week, I thought it would be fun to throwback to what I was seeing when I first started reading blogs. A lot of the looks that I liked then I wouldn’t necessarily pick out now. And then there were a few I wanted to throw into my outfit inspiration folder right this second! I picked those to show you. I think it’s interesting to look back and see which trends never left, which come back every few years, and which I wonder how I even thought they were cute.
One pattern is clear, the more simple the look is, the more likely it is to last (and the more likely it is that you wont look back and cringe at yourself). This little tidbit of advice might be one of the most important things to remember. As fun as it is to be outlandish and on trend, sometimes keeping it simple is the best way to go. Simplicity is a huge marker of classiness. However, while classy is always good, sometimes we need to get a little funky – just embrace those times knowing you’ll probably laugh at yourself later. But, hey, that’s the point right?!
