STEPFORD
This weekend, I came home for a doctor’s and dentist appointment. I figured it would be a low key weekend; I wanted to do some work and just relax. Well, Friday around 9PM my Nana called and asked if I planned on going to my cousin’s wedding the next day. Wait, what? I love weddings, so there was no way I was going to miss it or show up like a mess. Instantly, I knew I wanted to wear this dress. I picked it up last summer, but I haven’t had an opportunity to wear it. I almost wore it for Easter, but it was just too much. A wedding, however, was the perfect chance.

Looking at these pictures made me think of a stereotypical suburban housewife, in the best way possible. I was going to wear a headband, but I totally forgot as I was doing my hair. I’m glad though, because it might have been too much. In hindsight, I wish I would have added more tiny braids so there would have been more peeking through the bun. Next time, right? But really, the wedding provided a needed boost of happiness and a break from monotony. The ceremony and decorations were so pretty and everyone had a great time.
I’m finishing this post right before I head off to class, so I apologize for the shortness, but a mini-vacation can only last so long. Now it’s time to get back to the grind. Midterms are three days away!
