#BLUEPRINTBEAUTY: HOW TO DO YOUR MAKEUP IN 10 MINUTES OR LESS
Happy Monday ladies! I’m so excited for today’s post because it’s the first in a new series coming to the blog, called #BlueprintBeauty. It’s a part of the Chic in Seconds series and is the beauty counterpart to #FormulaicFashion. Every month, I’ll be sharing my favorite tips and best kept beauty secrets will help you get ready fast, and still look like you woke up an hour early. To kick off the series, I’m sharing my 10 minute (or less – I’ve done it in 8) make up routine!
The #1 tip for speeding up your routine, whatever it may be, is to keep those staple pieces on hand. I have a place for all my palettes, brushes, blushes, whatever, but in my top make up drawer I keep a collection of the following products (or a similar product), and only those products, so I can grab, apply, and drop, without wasting any time looking for the right product.
ONE. PRIME.

TWO. APPLY FAVORITE FOUNDATION.
THREE. CONCEAL, CONCEAL, CONCEAL!

FOUR. POWDER.

FIVE. DEEPEN THE CREASE.

SIX. BROW-TOWN.
If you have whimpy brows like I do, take a second to fill them in. Don’t spend forever on this step – fuller brows are in so you can be a little less perfect and touch it up with step seven. I’m still on the hunt for the perfect brow pencil, but in this tutorial I used Ofra’s Universal shade.

SEVEN. BROW GEL.
Finish off your brows with a brow gel. I love Benefit’s Gimmie Brow because it doesn’t dry too fast, so I can clean up the edges with a clean cream concealer brush (or my fingers!) and the tint helps to fill in any spots I missed with my pencil.

EIGHT. BRONZE.
The next three steps should take you the least amount of time. Pick natural, forgiving colors to bring life to your face but keep your routine fast. Add a sun kissed glow by quickly applying a bronzer in a 3-shape on the sides of your face, touching your temples, down under your cheeks, and under/at your jaw line with a large fluffy brush. The big brush will help diffuse the color so you don’t spend hours blending. I love using Tarte’s Park Avenue Princess because it adds just the subtlest amount of color.

NINE. BLUSH.
Using a slightly smaller brush, apply a blush shade that’s close to your natural flush. You can figure this out by pinching your cheeks without foundation on and matching the color that appears after a few seconds. Hit the apples of your cheeks and flick up toward your temples. I love the Amazonian Clay blushes from Tarte because they’re not too pigmented and they last all day!

TEN.HIGHLIGHT.
With one or two swipes, use a small powder brush to apply a little bit of highlighter (I used Exposed from Tarte) to your cheekbones and the tip of your nose. Then with a smaller brush, touch a little on the inner corner of your eyes to open them up.

ELEVEN. BOOST YOUR LASHES.
Finish with a few coats of a double-action lengthening and volumizing mascara. I love Smashbox Full Exposure because it gives me an awesome falsies meets ever-so-slightly spidery mascara that’s been super on trend in the last couple years.

BONUS TIP. YOUR LIPS BUT BETTER.
Keep a lipstick or lipgloss in your my-lips-but-better shade in your purse so you can apply it as you’re running out the door.
