2017 READING LIST by Fashion in Flight

MY 2017 READING LIST

January 5, 2017

Happy Thursday, ladies! I’m still thinking resolutions – I can’t help it! So I thought I would share my 2017 reading list. There are SO many books I want to read, and I have a ton sitting on myself. Yet, I’m always looking for more. So I decided to pick out 10 books that I want to read for sure this year. And I want your help on picking out the rest!

A few of these books have been on my to-read-soon book shelf for awhile, particularly Jonathon Livingston Seagull. That’s the book that inspired my dad to learn how to fly and as soon as he told me that story, it made it on my list. I can’t remember when I got Coco Chanel: An Intimate Life, but I know it was years ago, because it’s been sitting on my decorative shelf with only books that I actually have read. So that one really needs to get read so it can get back to decor duty!

I also purchased Collapse, The Wright Brothers, The Lean Startup, Girl Code, and The Other “F” Word in the last year. The few business books I picked up because they were recommended to me by my business instructors, or I met the authors and just loved their attitude. And The Wright Brothers, well that’s obvious.

The Like Switch and Aimee Song’s book, Capture Your Style, I actually just picked up from Amazon yesterday. I knew I wanted to read The Like Switch early last year, but for whatever reason I just didn’t grab it. Aimee Song’s book was a similar story, but while I was picking what to read, I decided it should be included to balance the masculinity in the list.

Finally, let’s talk about that cover that looks a little weird. Well, that’s because it’s in Portuguese. But I linked the English version. I actually have both versions, and I intend to read the English version first. When we were in Portugal though, we found a few bookstores where I could pick up some of my favorite or to-read books in Portuguese and get a little more practice with the language. Sully was one of those books. If you’re wondering why it’s on my list, take a quick look at the name of this blog and some of the other books on the list. The girl likes airplanes.
