For whatever reason, when it comes to casual style, I’ve always been really influenced by the seventies. Even before it was a thing. My mom, being her awesome self, kept a lot of the clothes she’d picked up over the years. Most of which has a definite seventies influence, if it’s not straight out of the seventies. So it’s really no surprise where I got that from.
Actually, this denim skirt was a new challenge for me. It’s so seventies, but I wanted to style it fairly simply. If I’m spending the day running between classes, I like something comfortably and easy to wear. I can easily walk a couple miles a day so comfort and coolness are key. That’s cool as in temperature, because Santa Barbara is showing almost no signs of fall. Except for Pumpkin Spice everything.
P.S. My canvas is not, in fact, crooked. As soon as I uploaded these, I ran out to check it. Apparently it’s a camera angle thing. That’s what happens when you shoot your own photos. #fashionbloggerproblems
