FRIDAY FAVORITES

I love going home because that’s when I have all my doctors appointments, etc. (Sarcasm.) Half my face is numb from a dentist appointment as I’m typing this. My dentist is actually super awesome, but I still hate having anyone anywhere near my mouth. I also hate needles, but I went ahead and got a new ear piercing anyway yesterday. As I was sitting in the dentist’s chair this morning, I couldn’t help but think about this old Blake Shelton classic. It seems to run through my mind every time I run errands.

My favorite outfit this week is this look by Cara of A Fashion Love Affair. I love the girly-ness of the tulle skirt and pink sweater. I like how she fully embraced the feminine, without trying to add a little edge. The edgy-feminine look is getting a little over worn, in my own opinion, so something so fresh and totally feminine was a nice break!

I was on the hunt for a great red lipgloss, and, on a recent trip to Ulta, I found two. I picked up this Butter London gloss in Come to Bed Red, it’s glossy and wonderful, but a little more pink than red. To satisfy my need for the truest, vampiest red, the woman at Ulta picked out this Laura Geller gloss in Scarlet Red, how appropriately named. It is awesome. It is so glossy and red and pretty, but it goes on really smoothly like a lipstick. It’s crazy, I almost can’t call it a gloss. If you want a really glossy look but don’t like that tacky feeling, definitely try the Laura Geller glosses!
