COMFY & CUTE THANKSGIVING OUTFIT

Happy Wednesday, ladies! I hope you’re having a fabulous week so far. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Unfortunately, I’ll be spending most of the day working. But it’s a small sacrifice to help me reach some bigger goals. I am happy, though, that I’ll have the evening to spend with my friends and family. For today’s post I want to share a comfy and cute Thanksgiving outfit. It never fails that photos are taken during family gatherings, so it’s nice to feel presentable for a photo. But at the same time, Thanksgiving for me always meant curling up on the floor or couch, playing games, and catching up. So there is definitely an amount of comfort required. Today’s look combines both.

LAYER IT UP

Layers are an essential part to any comfortable look. If it gets too hot, you can lose a layer or two, and if it’s too cold, you can add layers on top. So it’s first essential to make sure your look makes sense as the layers come off, or go on. For this look, I could also ditch the sweater and keep the scarf if I just needed to cool down a bit, but not so much that a tunic can stand alone. A tunic + a sweater + a scarf are a fail-proof layering combo to get you through Thanksgiving.

BE COMFY ON THE BOTTOM

If your Thanksgivings are anything like mine, you may just as well end up cross-legged on the floor playing games or curled up on the couch watching football. Thanksgiving is not a formal affair in our family – except in the volume of food. So it’s important to keep the bottom half of my look as comfy and stretchy as possible. Leggings are my favorite. Because I know, no matter what, I will be able to sit comfortably in any position and not flash anything like a skirt might. You might also opt for a modal or jersey maxi skirt because they’re easy to sit in, they look cute, and if you sit on the floor, no one can see up them!

KEEP ACCESSORIES TO THE MINIMUM

Accessories are so cute. They can add so much to a look. But when you’re eating to the point of exploding, that super cute belt is just going to be uncomfortable. Rings make card games challenging. For less formal Thanksgivings, keep your accessories to a minimum. Your favorite jewelry and maybe a pretty necklace or some sparkly studs. Something that will be comfortable to wear, no matter how much you eat or play.

What do your family Thanksgivings look like?
