#FORMULAICFASHION: SUMMER 2017, PART III

Happy Tuesday, ladies! Long time, no chat! I’ve been feeling pretty.. meh? .. recently which has made it difficult to sit and write with my normal enthusiasm. End of summer blues, maybe? Who knows – but I’m making an effort today so I’m gonna pat myself on the back for that one. Anyway, I’m so excited to share today’s post because I’ve literally been thinking about this outfit since early June. This is the first summer formula I planned and I’m so happy to share it with you finally!

NORDSTROM BLAZER // VICTORIA’S SECRET TANK (SIMILAR) // WHITE HOUSE BLACK MARKET SKIRT VIA TJMAXX (SIMILAR) // CALVIN KLEIN SLIDES (SIMILAR) {LAST SEEN}  // FOREVER 21 TOTE (SIMILAR)

This skirt was actually a TJMaxx find, and I was beyond thrilled. I think it is just so dang cute – I can’t get over it. The color palette is really beautiful, but also very conservative and work appropriate. Summer 2017 Formula #3 was all about taking a basic piece like a summery striped skirt and giving it a little something extra by pulling out unexpected colors and playing with the palette offered by the skirt. I could also imagine a two-toned skirt (like just pink and white) paired with a complementary color, like an emerald green blouse for a more fun-loving office environment.

SUMMER 2017 FORMULA #3

Summer stripe skirt
+
High neck tank
+
Stiletto slides
+
Coordinating blazer
