WHY YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR HANDBAG OFTEN

Happy Wednesday, ladies! I hope you’re all having a fabulous week! We’re talking handbags today. Particularly, why you should change yours often. I like to change my primary bag every 1-2 months, but I’m usually using a different bag at least once a week. To make the handbag switch easier, I keep my necessities in several small cosmetic pouches. All I have to do is grab those different pouches and my wallet and toss them into the next bag and I’m good to go! Try keeping two or three and organizing them by necessity, rather than product type, just in case your next bag can’t fit everything. That’s my trick for making it easy, and now let’s get into why it’s important that you change it often.

IT KEEPS YOU ORGANIZED & CLUTTER FREE

For me, this is the biggest benefit to changing my handbag often. Receipts, lip products, business cards, coins… They all seem to collect in the bottom of my bag. And it drives me crazy. The more that’s stuck in there, the harder it is to find exactly what you need. I mean, who hasn’t pulled out 15 lip products before finding the one you actually wore that day? It’s a total waste of time and unnecessary cause for stress. By switching purses often, you’re forced to go through what’s there and not put it into your next bag.

KEEP IT LIGHT & SAVE YOUR BACK

If you’re a big handbag lover, this is probably the main reason why you should switch it up often. The bigger the purse, the more of that unnecessary clutter it can hold. And if you don’t go through it or switch it often, it really starts to get weighed down. Take it from the knot in my shoulder that’s so big my shoulders look uneven, you should really switch it up more. Or at the very least, go through it often. Save your back, save your comfort, save yourself.

CHANGE IS INSPIRING

I have a love/hate relationship with change. I do love routine and consistency, it helps me stay stress free and on schedule with my goals and responsibilities. But that same routine becomes monotonous and leaves me feeling totally uninspired, which actually ends up causing more stress. So I look for ways to make small changes that keep me inspired, but don’t make me lose track of my routine. I change up my eye-shadow palette everyday, I repaint my nails in a totally different color every two weeks, and I change my handbag often. It sounds really simple, and it is, but it makes a world of difference.

How often do you change your handbag? What benefits do you find from switching it up?
