Happy Monday, ladies! How was your weekend? I’m starting my second full week after the move, and I’m really hoping this week is as productive as last. But working on this post is certainly inspiring me to make it so! Today, I’m talking about gifts. If you’ve been following the blog for awhile, you know this is a topic I love. And right now, we’re in the heart of a very important gift-giving season. In the next two months, there will be Mother’s Day, Father’s Day,and countless graduations. The people celebrated on these days are really important, and they’re singled out, so they deserve really special gifts on those days.
THOSE SPECIAL MOMENTS
But what do you give to someone who may already have it all? Or a graduating student on the brink of making a very large step toward the rest of their life. Well, my mom got me a beautiful mixed metal watch, you can see it in this post. And it was so thoughtful, and so perfect. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that a really gorgeous, special, and unique watch is the perfect gift for someone who has it all or is just in a very special moment in their life.
THE ULTIMATE GIFT
First, a watch is a functional piece, so it’s not something that will sit on a shelf forgotten. Second, it’s something very classic, with a lot of traditional weight and meaning. Recently someone asked me if I was a very traditional person. I told them I’m traditional with a twist. The almost-heirloom nature of a watch is very much a tradition I love. But a boring old silver round face + black band combo? Well, not my gifting cup of tea. And it’s not very memorable either – and the ultimate gift is, by definition, a memorable one.
WHAT IS UNIQUE IS MEMORABLE
The mixed metal watch my mom gave me is a beautiful, unique piece in my wardrobe. I’m flooded with memories every time I wear it. And so is this beautiful wood watch by Jord. I wore it the last couple days in California, and I know that each time I wear it from now on those last memories will stick out in my mind. They’ve become permanently attached to the beautifully crafted timepiece – that is what makes it so special.
GET YOUR OWN BEAUTIFUL WOOD WATCH
As special as they are, watches can be expensive. They’re meant to track time, and remain timeless, so the investment is worth it. I have a million $20 watches that have fallen apart and the memories seem to deteriorate with the cracked glass and broken straps. But don’t fret – I’ve partnered with Jord to give everyone a unique opportunity to save a little on their perfect gift purchase. You can enter the giveaway below and get a $50 discount on your purchase, and the final winner will receive a $100 discount. That’s more than half the price of the watch I’m wearing in this post.
Even at full price, I think this gorgeous piece is a steal. The packaging is some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen; the watch smells amazing (seriously, Jord nails every detail); and the material adds a particularly lightness that makes wearing it so easy. I’m infinitely impressed and so excited to share this wonderful giveaway with you. You can enter below by following the link below and filling out the form, all it takes is your name and email and your favorite Jord watch! (Mine is the Reese watch in Zebrawood and Emerald!)
