I have a love/hate relationship with October. I love the Fall, but I’ve never been much of a Halloween girl so October was just this month in the Holiday/Winter season that didn’t have a lot going for me. However, in the past couple years, I’ve learned to love October for a few reasons. They might be silly reasons, but I’ll take any reason to enjoy each moment just that much more!

5 REASONS TO LOVE OCTOBER
ONE. Baseball World Series. I don’t follow too many sports, although I do like them, I’ve just never had much luck with objects moving through air in any kind of proximity to my face. However, I do love baseball. My team (Go Oakland!) has had some issues making it to October, but I still love to watch the World Series every year.
TWO. Fall weather becomes real (at some point!). I feel like September is always hot still in most of California, and other states. But it’s always sometime in October when my Instagram feed begins to be 99% #sweaterweather posts. And I love winter and fall fashion, so I feel totally inspired and in my element.
THREE. PSL’s taste that much better. PSL’s launch in September it seems, but they just don’t taste as good until the weather catches up. There’s something about a PSL in the cool air surrounded by pumpkins and plaid scarves that makes it taste even better!
FOUR. Trips to the pumpkin patch. Speaking of pumpkins. Pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hay stacks. As a kid, we always took a trip to the pumpkin patch in October and I just remember having the most fun there. And I still love to go!
FIVE. It’s socially acceptable to eat your weight in pie. This one is my favorite. I’m actually not too much of sweets girl, but I can’t help myself around fresh pumpkin pie and fresh apple pie. OH, BOY! Fortunately, come October, everyone else is digging in so I don’t look so bad getting thirds. Or thirteenths.
