I’ve been blogging for almost three years now! I’ve shared some serious moments, and some details of my life as they come up, but I really haven’t shared any fun facts about me. I’m in a big transition point of my life right now, though, so I thought it would be a good time to share! This one you probably know – I’m 22! So I decided to share 22 (other) things you didn’t know about me. One for every year!
There was a lot that I wanted to share, so I split it into two categories: my fun life facts and facts relating to fashion and beauty!
LIFESTYLE.
- The nicest thing anyone can do for me is bring me a cup of coffee and/or fresh flowers. There really is no better way to my heart!
- My favorite flowers are calla lilies, hydrangeas, and California poppies.
- My Starbucks order is a whole milk latte in the morning and a whole milk chai tea latte in the afternoon. I love cinnamon in my coffee, too!
- I’ve been a pescatarian for almost 8 years!
- My favorite food category is seafood/shellfish, and my favorite food are oysters on the half shell. Especially Crystal Points and Fanny Bays!
- I used to run track in high school. The 100m was my favorite!
- At about age 5-6 I found a snake in a plane. It was a garden snake in our neighbor’s plane. I ran to my Nana and told her, “There’s a snake in the plane! It goes *thhhhhh**thhhhh.*” That’s one of her favorite stories to tell!
- I cannot look at a tree without thinking about a way I could climb it.
- I am absolutely unable to focus in a disorganized or unattractive workspace.
- I’m an obsessive planner and stationary hoarder.
- I am so fond of hyperbole, I actually have to stop and correct myself in my daily conversations.
- My favorite cocktail is a 7/7 or crown/7.
- I always have a bottle of champagne or sparkling wine in the fridge.
- I can’t sleep in past 9am most mornings, and I prefer to wake up between 5-6!
- My favorite place to sleep is outside on a boat!
FASHION & BEAUTY.
- I’ve been reading blogs and blogging on and off since 2007-2008.
- I don’t actually like having my picture taken or being the center of attention. I love fashion and documenting my outfits, though, so I have to mentally prepare myself before every blog shoot!
- The silver ring you see me wearing in every single post was my great grandfathers wedding band. He was so poor that he made his wedding band and my Vovó’s out of a piece of steel pipe that he filed down.
- I have a hard time buying jewelry because I always think I can make it!
- Speaking of making things, I made my senior prom and winter formal dress. My junior prom dress was one I bought and added tulle and glitter to.
- I haven’t gotten rid of any clothes since 6th grade. (Currently working on this one, although my mom did steal stuff from my closet to get rid of!)
- I’ve died my hair every color except black, but stopped so I could start donating it! I’ve donated twice and love it!
