FRIDAY FAVORITES

Wow, I’ve featured a ton of songs from Thomas Rhett’s latest album here on the blog. I guess I just love it to death. This is another one I’m feeling pretty crazy over!

My sleep schedule has been a total disaster lately, which is really tough for me since I do all of my blog work early in the morning – and I haven’t been able to move until like 9am. Which, if you know me at all, you know is crazy talk. Because my alarm goes at at 5:30, erryday. Now I’m back low-key a little earlier than I planned, mostly because I just needed to write something fun and exciting in between writing Lit essays. So I’ve been going back and forth between posts and essays all week. Anyway, here’s to hoping things get back to a reasonable pace!

GUYS! I love this rug. So, I actually came across it while talking on the phone. I know you’re reading this. And freaked out because I loved it so much and was totally distracted from the conversation. But it’s just so beautiful I can’t help myself. I’ve been on a pink rug kick lately.

A product I’m loving lately is the Mario Badescu Drying Creme. I’ve talked about the Drying Lotion before – it’s one of my top favorites – so I’ve been dipping more into the Badescu line of products and it’s been great. Everything I’ve tried so far, I’ve loved, and I honestly don’t understand why the blogosphere isn’t blowing up about it. It’s one of those silent saviors, I suppose. Anyway, the drying creme is awesome – I use it essentially as a night mask and my acne has seen dramatic improvements!

This Verily Mag article from a few months ago has been on my mind nonstop since I read in in January. Continuing with the theme this week of managing an overwhelming task list and course load, this article speaks in a really approachable way about the issue of being creatively overwhelmed. The tips are a great complement to my Retrospect article on Wednesday!

I’ve been doing some ankle boot shopping lately. I’m still on the hunt for a flatter pair of black booties. I recently added these gorgeous Frye booties to my collection, but I’m hunting down a less western pair with a lower heel. Right now I like these Jeffery Campbell booties, these Sam Edelman booties, and these Splendid booties, but I’m not sold on any of them. I’m also looking for some other colors in similar shapes.

SO, if there’s a pair of booties you’re obsessed with tell me! I can’t wait to see what you’ve got!
