HASK MACADAMIA OIL HAIR CARE REVIEW

This is a true test of a hair care system because I started with absolutely filthy hair. I mean, gross, oily, needs love, filthy hair. Normally when that happens, I have to wash my hair two days, back to back, to get it really clean and back to the point where I can go a couple days without a wash. So, I had the opportunity to try out the Hask Macadamia Oil Moisturizing Hair Care system and decided this would be an excellent time to really try it out. Initially, I was pretty worried trying a moisturizing system because my hair is so oily and because I hate when it gets weighed down. But my ends always need love, so I gave it the old college try. Read on to see what I thought! Hint, hint, it’s good.

MACADAMIA OIL MOISTURIZING SHAMPOO. I am so pleased with this shampoo. The fragrance is good, I’ve had better smelling shampoos, but I like it and it’s more functional than fragrant which is the point right? So, to start, I washed my hair with the shampoo twice, then did another mini wash just focusing the shampoo on my roots. My filthy hair was sufficiently cleaned, but didn’t feel so stripped and dry. A job well done, and a great start.

MACADAMIA OIL MOISTURIZING CONDITIONER. Alright, after shampoo, obviously comes conditioner. Although some suggest otherwise, which I have yet to try. Anyway, this conditioner is so stinking moisturizing. I love the TIGI Bedhead Moisture Manic conditioner because it makes my hair so silky smooth, but the shampoo+conditioner weighed my hair down so much, and I’m such a volume girl, so I just couldn’t bring myself to buy it again. I was happily surprised when my hair did not fall flat once it was styled after using Hask’s Macademia Oil Conditioner and my leftover, washed tease brushed out like a dream with just the regular conditioner and a little shine oil. Usually I need more than a few sprits of It’s a 10 to deal with that mess. Cue shamed emoji.
MACADAMIA OIL MOISTURIZING DEEP CONDITIONER. A little goes a looooong way with this stuff! I actually was a little worried because: 1) I overdid it, I’m just not used to short hair yet, and 2) it feels moisturizing and I thought for sure my hair would be greasy the next day. The only thing it did, however, was hydrate the shafts and ends of my hair fabulously. It brushed out like a dream and my hair wasn’t uncomfortably greasy a day later.

MACADAMIA OIL MOISTURIZING SHINE OIL. Shiny, silky, perfect. Oh my word, I love this stuff! I haven’t found a hair serum I liked since the Johnathon Product Finish Shine, and the Hask version is way more affordable! I used a little on my hair while it was wet, like I mentioned above to help brush out my fine tangled hair, and the shine held even after styling and a load of texture spray. It was honestly my best hair day since November. I had a seriously tough week, but nothing can bring down a girl on a good hair day, right? πŸ˜‰

Finally, no surprise, as an ultra moisturizing hair care system, I can’t go more than two days without a wash. However, I don’t think there’s a moisture-focused system in the world that works and that allows for more than two days. So if you’re skipping washing to protect your hair, then washing with something super nourishing isn’t actually a bad idea. To sum it up, I’ve never had such an affordable system feel and work so good, even beating out my more expensive salon professional products, and that tells you everything you need to know.

Try it, tell me what you think. And have you tried any other Hask products? I think I need to dig into the rest of the product line!

I've never heard of Hask or Macadamia Oil, but it sounds like a good investment. I was intrigued to hear your insights and experience with this product and would be interested to try it myself!
