#ALSIceBucketChallenge

I was nominated for the ice bucket challenge by my cousin. Instead of dumping a bunch of water on my head and calling it good, I decided to take a moment to talk about what exactly ALS is and what the ice bucket challenge has done to help ALS sufferers. ALS, aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a motor-neural disease that causes paralysis and eventually death. The challenge has helped to raise awareness and has contributed to a massive increase in donations to the ALS Association
The impending bucket of ice and water, mixed with the gathering crowd made me just a bit nervous. You’ll hear my voice crack in the end, but it’s worth it. I challenge anyone watching this to complete the task and donate, as well.

Thank you 🙂 I thought it was important that it was sort of explained, too. 🙂
