THE SHOE SITUATION

TORY BURCH MILLER SANDAL BLACK

I have a bit of a problem. I hate flats. Well, I don’t hate them. But given the choice between a heel and flat, I always choose a heel. So I never seem to buy flats and that’s a big problem for me when I try to look cute, but also need to walk all over campus. I also tend to destroy the flats I do get because well they’re cute and I need flats, so I wear them all the time. I bought maybe four pairs Fall 2012 and now most are just unwearable. I can wear a pair out in two months, easily. These Tory Burch flip flops are my favorite, but I probably won’t get them until I have at least 5-6 heathy pairs of flats on rotation in my wardrobe.

I took on the challenge of finding some cute flats. I also looked for low-heeled boots and mini-wedges since those feel like flats. It was every bit as difficult as I expected it to be, if not more, but I did find some really cute pairs (although most are sandals) and I’ll have to remember to snag a few at a time when I can to keep them from wearing out in a heartbeat. I’ll probably start cheap, Target has some great options, before I add in any nicer pairs that I really don’t want to destroy!

Are you more of a flats or sandals person?
