LOOK LOVE

This is definitely an older look from one of my favorite bloggers, Style Scrapbook, but I still love it. I was feeling uninspired so I start sifting through my “liked” posts on bloglovin’. I don’t know about you, but I always like things I’m inspired by thinking I’ll definitely look back soon – and I definitely never do. But I don’t want to do school work right now, so.. 😉

I’m quite obsessed with this look. I absolutely love monochromatic looks with a single pop of color. Instant fashion swooning. I love the hat, but I’m not sure I could pull it off. Probably it’s one of those things you just have to go for without over analyzing. What really made this look stand out from the rest of the pop of color looks were: 1) where the pop was, a skirt is so perfect and different compared to a scarf, belt or lipstick; and 2) the dot tights, yes please. I really love the architectural jacket, as well. The shape isn’t necessarily unexpected, but the fabric seems so supportive and strong, where many jacket collars tend to fall flat or scrunch up. This outfit leaves me wishing for winter. Sunny and 75, that’s where I’m at and it leaves me almost wishing for those harsh Montana winters I used to have.

On a side note, I’m a Bio Anthropology and Portuguese double major. I mentioned that in my first post here. But why that matters.. I have this song stuck on repeat in my head. I listened to it at least six times yesterday. If you have any interest in foreign music or like hip-hop/R&B/Kizomba, you should listen. The song was on the Portuguese version of Dancing with the Stars.
