I love a new year. I love beginnings. It’s the perfect excuse to reevaluate and start over somewhere. Contrary to popular belief, one is a great number. One is just the beginning.
I’m a big resolution fan, even though I hardly keep up with most of them. To me, it’s the conscious goal setting and noting of areas in need of improvement that really spurs growth, whether the growth is where I wanted it to be or not.
My goals for Fashion in Flight include:
- Incorporating more personal style posts.
- Introducing some posts about other passions: running, cooking, and learning how to do my hair/make-up (that last one should be entertaining :P)
- Earning just enough from ad revenue to pay for my domain name.
- Get to bed earlier, no more of this 2AM for no reason thing!
- Keep up with my school work and pursue studying abroad.
- Read more personal books, instead of just school books.
More important than these list resolutions though, I want to grow and heal from the damage of 2013. Overall, it wasn’t a good year for me. There were some truly great parts, but there were many many hard parts. I struggled a lot, and very nearly lost myself in the process. This year my biggest goal is to shed the loss, to grow from the pain of the last year, and emerge from the rubble stronger than ever.
